Are you branding yourself? What do you do on your blog, your fan page and on Twitter?
What do you hold up at your front porch? Is it yours or does it belong to someone else? If it belongs to someone else, what do YOU ad to the mix?
Branding Yourself can’t be mainstream!
People sponsor shop. They are looking for leaders. People with and edge. An attitude. Something that puts them apart and ahead of others. Do you belong to that crowd? If not, it’s time to step up. To yourself and your true capacity! You need to meet yourself eye to eye and start branding yourself.
To show leadership you have to expose yourself. Don’t play it safe!
Know what? It’s the same thing with your singing. There are so many sopranos out there. If you want to find an audience, make sure you adress the right crowd.
Whom is waiting for you voice? What do you want to say with your singing? What questions do you want to pose? What emotions to stir? What actions to be the result?
In case it makes you feel uncomfortable to differentiate yourself, you’ve chosen the wrong professions. Both as singer and business lady. Yes both, you don’t have to choose. 🙂
What To Do To Deepen Your Branding?
Branding will soon be the only possible way to sell anything, I think. Even though we can reach close to everywhere through Internet, people will be more picky on how to get their service. It’s gonna be the “perfect match” that wins!
To create that perfect mach you must stand out!
Read this blogpost by Eric Walker. He talks about content and not getting hung up on social media. If you don’t present something interesting. Something worth reading. Something that creates a reaction, in whatever direction, social media will do nothing for you. No matter how hard you push your stuff.
There are so many recitals, som many performers, why should the audience choose you? If you’re not 9 years old, you better come up with something different from the rest! 😉
