My latest explorations are on Instagram. I still spend too much time on Facebook, like most of us, ;-), but I do know how to use it business wise. Still, part of my plan for 2014 is to lower my presence there. Hey, back to Instagram!
A couple of weeks ago I was invited to a 30 day challenge. To participate you have to publish a 16 second video on your Instagram profile every day for those 30 days. I’m just about ½ way through, this is my 14:th day.
Below is a short video where I’ve put a few of them together. It’s all about asking questions!
I have extensive education and long experience of therapeutic work and coaching people. To bring people forward you have to ask questions. In my training I was taught to use questions like do you, have you, will you, are you, can you, etc. How, When, When, What, Where, If. And to AVOID WHY!
Why throws you into explanation, and explanation leads to defending. Defending makes you stuck. It doesn’t matter if you defend for or aganis something. Defending keeps you in a firm place where you get occupied with explanations. Suddenly you are explaining the explanation and defending why you are explaining it. And round you go. You’ve been there haven’t you? I have. It takes you nowhere!
Explanations keep things the way they are instead of evolving into new grounds. There is a place for “why”, but not to assist in catapulting you forward. For that you need questions that move you out of your current fixations. Out of your comfort zone.
