Having a blog is recommended by almost everyone. But have you ever pondered on what “having a blog” stands for? I made this video a little while ago. Since then I’ve earned my trainers certificate, but the message is still valid. There is a difference between running a blog and having one. Especially if you in any way consider business blogging.
As I say above I’m no big advocate of having ads on you blogs. By ads I mean selling your property to someone else’s business. I did that. Most of the time you need some hefty traffic to make that profitable because you need a lot of clicks to earn any money. I got pennies! On top of it they left my territory and never came back.
Instead I advocate affiliate products. That way you can create a portfolio of products that tie in together with each other and with your message. You can also decide where to put the promotion. Chose how you want links to appear. And where.
StellaScott.com is my 7th blog! The first ones where definitely about “having a blog“. I wanted to earn money, but for my life I could not figure out how. If you are anything like me, you need some help too.
Here is a great post on what is needed to run a blog as a business asset. You can also read my review on Marsha Godwin‘s blogging course. It will help you get up and running in a very short time, without doing all those mistakes I did, for years.
