Your logo is part of your branding,
is it telling the true story?
Yesterday I talked about your branding and daring to step out. Daring to be different. Sometimes being different is not the best thing though. It’s important to think through all parts of your brand. What do you want people to see?
Your branding is much more than colors, symbols, font and all those visuals. As I said in my previous post, branding is much about what you say. And how you say it. What you are writing about. Your opinions. Your courage to say what no one else is saying. Even your readiness to get som hate mails. They will come, rest assured. I know from experience. I have 10 pending on that post alone. I haven’t approved them, they where so bad.
Someone once said she took every hate mail as a sign she was doing something right! They are uncomfortable to get. But you can’t let that stop you, if you know you have something important to say.
Really Bad Examples
Nevertheless, here are som hideous examples of what can happen to your brand with a logo gone wrong. Some of whichcould result in hate mails. I’m sure… 🙂
After having watched those examples be sure to have a second opinion on what you’re about to send out to the world. Let others look at your blog, your logo and see if what you think comes through is right. Don’t be so in love with your own idea of your branding that hidden messages turn out to be more eye-catching than what you really stand for.
