Days passing by…

All these “goals”.
Did you ever consider those goals can get in the way of living your life?
Being present in whatever is going on?
Life is all these days passing by.
It doesn’t start when you reach a goal.
It’s now.

That’s all… 💓

Living is what happens as we work toward, or reach toward a goal. Living isn’t about reaching the goal, it’s about going toward it. Goals can change, which I think is part of your point. If we don’t breathe, and pay attention, sometimes we are going after a goal for the goal’s sake. Paying attention to life is more important than reaching some goal.

You’re right Nita! Goals change, but not only that, sometimes they are misused. People can set goals instead of living in the now, as a way of avoiding their present circumstance. Instead of dealing with that pain they set a “goal” and strive towards it, away from themselves.

What an interesting perspective! For years, I pressed toward new goals because I always assumed that my future was better than the now. But instead of living in the present, I was yearning for the future. In my case, my goals DID get in the way of me living my life.

If “now” can be a goal, then I agree. 😊

This is a very different approach to goals and life. I hadn’t thought of it that way so thank you for opening the possibility of another perspective.
